Career history

Toshiya Sakata is the Associate Professor of Department of Materials Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo in Japan. Having obtained his degree of PhD from Osaka University, he spent his career working for National Institute for Materials Science in Japan before taking up his present position at the University of Tokyo. Dr. Sakata has authored over 30 scientific publications and has received several scientific awards, including the 6th Yamazaki-Teiichi Prize Winner by Foundation for Promotion of Material Science and Technology of Japan.
